Writing 150 Words Is Not Even Half The Work [VI]

Or… How I am going to get through 150 short-form articles in the next 50 days

I don’t think that I am surprised about the difficulty of writing 150 words — a lot of it is crafting the exact meaning in a limited form.

At the start — all the ideas flow, seemingly endlessly — but I know that I don’t yet have 150 articles in me. That is a problem for another day.

Here is what I go through to publish:

1. Write the content
2. Edit, re-edit, re-think, rinse-and repeat until I have 150 words that actually say something.
3. Add in tags and summary
4. Manually sketch image
5. Digitally import and add colours
6. Add to the story
7. Spell-check the story
8. Note down the schedule for each story
9. Check and double-check
10. Relax

The above words flowed easily through my keyboard, but I am over my word count limit — time to go on to step 2.
