Why Short-Form Writing Is Open To Criticism [LXIII]
Or… You are not going to hear too much here
No, This Is Not An Actual Criticism
And, to be fair, this is not a short form article —according to Medium, a short form article is 150 words including heading, title, kickers, and text. It was designed when you just wanted to get some quick news out there without writing paragraphs and paragraphs. As an example — breaking news.
If you have read some of my so-called short-form articles, there will be a quality difference in some of them and this is due to two things:
- I don’t have enough to say
- I have too much to say
150 words don’t always allow me to get to the point, sometimes I have to cut down some important points that I would like to make.
But the one thing that all of this writing has given me is I now nowknow what I want to write and how long I want the articles to be.
