Why A Successful Businessperson Should Never Run A Country [CIX]
Or… You’re fired from society
Nationalistic Wave
There was a wave in society which started in the mid 2010’s where people were tired of ‘politicians’ and thought that they could do a better job than who was currently in power.
An example in point is Donald Trump — real estate developer and all round self promoter
There is a subtle problem with letting a country be run by business people.
Businesses are there to make a profit for the shareholders
whilst
Governments are there to ensure a well ordered society
If I ran a country like I ran a business
- If you cannot work — you are fired
- If you don’t have the skills I need — you are fired
- If I don’t get on with you — you are fired
- If I sexually assault you because of the “boys club” I have created — I will fire you
Good luck on the streets where the government has to look after you.
