Let Us Start With A Premise

“Aging is a disease, not an inevitability.”

If it is a disease — then we should be able to find a cure.

In previous generations, at the end of life, “old age” was put as a cause of death, when in fact it was a myriad of causes, it just seemed like the person was old enough and therefore all of these combined system failures could just be bundled up into a simple two-word explanation.

I read the book: Lifespan: Why We Age―and Why We Don’t Have To

Which uses the premise as a way to search for cures to this problem, along with some things that you could do today to increase your lifespan.

When discussing this book, people would say that they didn’t want to live forever — especially with the way that the body deteriorates over time.

This book also goes through not just increasing the quantity of years of life, but also the quality of years of life.

Worth a read.
