This is a terrible shame - you are one of the writers that I am always excited about reading a new story from.

Always a great read, always something insightful and interesting.

I always found Medium to be a great platform, I get access to so many great writers, for a simple low monthly cost. I can support the writers that I like by simply just _reading_ their story.

This is where the Medium algorithm will fail. I like to 'listen' to stories as I walk around. Once finished, I open the phone and check the next story and listen to it.

Now, I need to click on the clap button, wait for it to slowly roll up the claps, possibly go through and highlight something, or type something on the tiny phone keyboard - activities which I find annoying on a phone - but much easier on a computer.

So, here I am commenting on your article and showing support for you and clapping (on a laptop).

I, for one, will miss your writing tremendously.
