The First Thousand Claps

Or… The power of the writing community to make someone’s day

What my daughter achieved in 3 months of writing, versus 3 years of my writing.

I have published 240 articles (this is my 241st), and have 144 more in the waiting room — some have been more popular than others.

Some have gone semi-viral, and some have died a death before they were published.

But for the first time, since I started writing, I have received over 1,000 claps.

The funny thing here is that the writing is not my own, it is my daughter’s.

So maybe I haven’t received 1,000 claps at all, but my daughter has — and she is over the moon.
