Subtly Miffed With Medium Partner Program

Or… the changes to the Medium Partner Progam left me a little bit miffed — surely the changes go against the mission of Medium and could have gone differently.

What Happened

Medium changed their Partner Program so that you will not earn anything from views on your stories unless you have 100 followers, previously there was no such limit.

I signed up in September 2020 and the partner programme was immediately available, so I wrote what I wanted to and earned a very small amount of money from it. But I was OK with that. Every cent that I got paid, I appreciated — it was a small thank you from the wider community at Medium.
