Medium And The Impact On Me [XXXVI]

Or… How my habits have changed with the introduction of the 100 followers

Medium Rare

I feel as though my attitude and engagement towards Medium have changed.

Now that I have reached 100 followers, and I am getting through my 150 articles with 150 words, I am starting to reflect on what I want from Medium, and what I want to give to Medium.

I am not a social media user — I neither like nor use Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, Instagram or some which I am probably too old to know about.

I don’t like the ‘social’ aspect around Medium — followers and likes and whatnot — that is not what I am here for. I check my stats and followers less frequently than I used to, but I still do it more than I would like.

What I do like is that I am engaging with the community more now — clapping and following and filtering what I want to read.

Not all bad.
