We all know that you can use images within a Medium article

• They add a bit of eye candy to things,
• Add some nice spacing to the article,
• Put a bit of your personal touch into an article, and, most importantly
• Draw people to your articles

However

• They take up the entire width of the article, and
• You cannot do inline images

Adding an Emoji

All that you need to do is start with a : character and start typing — the list of options will appear for you.
