So, I found a nearly 20-year-old Mac in my garage last week and copied the documents onto a USB stick (yes it still worked). You can see the story here:

Nevertheless, I found a piece of writing I started— an incomplete story, which was last edited on 12th April 2004.

Here it is:

All Of His Life

All of his life, he wanted to do something extraordinary, or in his words, something ‘not quite ordinary’. He always pronounced the ‘extra’ in extra-ordinary, drawing out each of the syllables, letting them flow from his tongue. His eyes would flicker heavenwards as though tempting divine inspiration. In the end, what he did could not be considered ordinary, but then again, what was ordinary.
He knew his plan; a secret smile would play across his lips, like the murmuring of the creek that ran down…
