Have I Introduced You To My Favourite Pencil? [XXIII]
Or… Or counting the environmental cost of a mechanical pencil
Splashy, not Unsplashy
I am attempting to re-kindle my love of drawing, so I decided to give up on stock photos (Unsplash was my default) and turn my hand back to drawing.
My tools:
- A gravity-fed lead pencil, and
- Pixelmator (sometimes I use ‘The GIMP’ as well)
The choice of pencil was partly spurred on by me buying a tin of 76 pencils, and within a couple of months, my children had lost most of them. So I did a lot of research and finally settled on the Pacific Arc H-1309. A joy to use.
The key feature for me was:
- Lead sharpener in the cap
It is an environmentally friendly choice and should last me a lifetime — no more buying pencils for me.
