This is the second of my daughter’s poems that I am publishing on Medium.

For those who have not read any of her other poetry, the idea behind publishing her works is to act as an incentive to continue exploring the power and beauty of words and encourage her entrepreneurial spirit.

I have told her that any earnings from this Medium story would be all hers and added to her pocket money.

Enjoy.

Frosty Forest

All through the forest runs a bitter breeze,
Cold and sharp racing through arctic trees,
Vacant and quiet through the night,
Nothing gets in or out during the faded light.

Reaching out to hear a melancholy song,
more colour and life, they truly long,
Finding a way through shrieking wind and dead life,
To find a way away from this piercing winter knife.
