Appropriating Tailors
Or… Don’t be gaudy with what you wear

Wearing Away The Fabric Of Society
This is what I am wearing (from top to toe) and where it may have originated:
- Polo Shirt: India
- Watch: Germany (or somewhere in Europe)
- Jeans: invented in the USA
- Belt: Parts of Europe and Asia
- Underwear: Egypt
- Socks: Greece
- Shoes: Footwear has been around for a long time: France, USA, Egypt, China, Scandinavia — specifically Trainers/Sandshoes: Possibly the UK
And to be fair to the readers — the origins of most clothing cannot be specifically traced back to an individual place.
So the question my dear readers:
“Is any of this cultural appropriation?— or do we just agree that because it has been around for so long, and people have mixed and matched their cultural attire over the centuries, that we just see it as the clothing of the people?”
