When ‘No’ Means ‘Yes’
Or… Stop listening for the ‘no’ — just assume it — until you hear ‘yes’.
Spoiler Alert:
The answer is simple:
NEVER!
We Need To Change The Conversation
The whole ‘No Means No’ is a catchy phrase and can be shouted at the top of your lungs at rallies — I don’t think that this gets the message through — it implies that a woman is saying ‘yes’ until it is a ‘no’.
Let’s re-phrase:
“Only Yes Means Yes”
This stops the burden on the female to say no, and invalidates the plethora of excuses that men use:
- “What she was wearing”
- “What she was drinking”
- “How she walked”
All the useless excuses that men use to try and justify their actions.
There is only one thought that needs to be understood in society:
Unless it is a 100% unequivocable, certain, indesputable, irrefutable, unquestionable, absolute YES, then it is a NO. No exceptions.
If, as a man, you don’t hear this — then it is a NO!
